Tsarskoie Selo

le palais

Which mean the village of the tsars, is also known under the name of Pushkin. The place is haunted by the souvenir of the poet which studied there.

Imperial domain, of the neighborhood of Saint Petersburg mixing the baroque and the neoclassicism, the place dazzles by the magnificence of its decoration. Quite particularly the cabinet of amber, a room completely made with panels of amber, offered by Frederic-Guillaume of Prussia to Peter the Great. Its destruction or rather its dismantling are to be registered among the devastation of the German occupation. In 1944, the invaluable panels of amber had loss in the nature! They were never found since, but the Russian masters did everything to reconstruct the room of amber, the whole financed by a german company
